Let's Talk About Travel Insurance
Now that you have your hotels booked, your tours set, it's now to time to insure your hard earned money for those unexpected circumstances and trust me, they do happen! This is the partner I trust most.
How does travel insurance work? It's typically 5% of the total amount of coverage. The cost of your policy is determined by age, the state you live in and the amount of coverage you need.
17 and under are covered for free.
Tip 1: Our health insurance here in the U.S. does not cover anything that happens when you're traveling internationally. If you would like to have medical coverage only you can cover a small amount, for example, $500, and be fully medically covered. Coverage descriptions can be found on the website below after entering your destination, dates and age.
Tip 2: Purchase travel insurance within 15 days of making your first deposit, so pre-existing conditions is automatically covered. What does that mean? For example, if you have had a heart attack in the past and happen to have one while away, you are covered as long as you have pre-existing conditions is included. Also, if you are fully healthy now, purchase travel insurance within the 15 days, but before you leave you have a heart attack, you will still be covered medically should something happen when you're away.

We have partnered with Priority Pass to offer the same benefits that so many are already having access to. If you don't have access to lounges through your credit card, or even if you do, Priority Lounge has been a huge benefit for my family and many other colleagues of mine.
For those that have lounge access through a credit card, as you probably already know, lounges fill up pretty quickly and you're not always able to get in. With Priority Pass as a backup, you'll never have to sit in the regular, noisy airport terminals again!
